Regular grooming has many advantages other than merely making your dog's coat look healthy and shiny. It provides you the opportunity to bond with your pet and potentially noticing symptoms and problems your pet may be experiencing. Regular brushing will massage the skin and spread the natural oils from the skin, throughout the coat. This give your dog that healthy shiny look. Pay particular attention to the leg and flank areas which are susceptible to easily matting. It is recommended that you brush your dog several times a week, though this standard will differ for different breeds and coat types.

Nail cutting dog grooming instructions

Domesticated dogs that get little exercise will not have an opportunity to naturally wear their nails down. This results in nails that require regular trimming. Always use specially designed trimmers for dogs and not ordinary scissors to trim your dog's nails. Simply cut the tip of the nail off. Note there is a blood vessel inside the nail. Its important to cut the nail below the quick, which is made more visible after bathing your dog.
