The Whippet is a medium/large dog that was originally bred for hunting. They have a short coat that requires little grooming. An active dog, they require a considerable amount of exercise. A very intelligent dog that is easy to train. The Whippet is placid in nature and makes a great family pet, including children and animals. A very clean dog.
