The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a large dog that was originally bred for hunting. They have a short coat that requires little grooming. An intelligent dog, they need to be socialized and trained from a young age to be well behaved. They are generally good with people and animals, but children should be supervised. An energetic dog, the Ridgeback requires regular exercise.
